In March, 2019 an event, Understanding Your Heritage attracted some 30 people, some local, some from further away, to look at researching the heritage of (church) buildings and family history associated with them. We met in the village hall, where David Carter gave us an introduction into the plan for the day and Shelagh Endres talked about the history of our church and the two saints we remember with it; St Cuthbert and St John Boste, a Catholic martyr in the reign of Elizabeth I, born and raised in Dufton. We then moved to the church and were shown round it, before going back to the village hall for lunch and then a hands-on session led by David Carter, using computers or paper hand-outs to research topics relating to the church. We look forward to more events like this which proved very popular.

In September 2019, local musician Barbara Gilbertson volunteered to give a concert free of charge to help raise funds for the church. Accordingly, Jane Bainbridge, Alex Jacob-Whitworth, Nicola Lowes and Barbara gave us a wonderful evening of music for all tastes in the village hall . There was a good audience and the large sum of money raised will be more than helpful.
